On Monday, October 9th, Peter van Assche was invited as one of the 25 top scientists to participate as table scientists at the Pieterskerk in Leiden by ‘The Evening of Science & Society.’ ‘The Evening of Science & Society’ is supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Royal Holland Society of Sciences, NWO (Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research), the Universities of the Netherlands, the Association of Universities of Applied Sciences, and NEMO Science Museum.

For the table discussion, Peter Van Assche and the talented scientist Laura van Santen chose the research topic ‘New System Logic for a Circular Building Practice.’ These discussions highlight the importance of science and seek to provide the invitees with a fresh perspective on the impact of science and research on society and the future.
