Food and drink pavilion Muiderslot

Food and drink pavilion Muiderslot

where garden meets kitchen

Together with Joost Emmerik (landscape architect), Marieke Berkers (architecture historian), and Overtreders W (spatial design), we developed a design for a new food and drink pavilion on the former parking lot of the Muiderslot.

We integrated three core values into the design

The wooden pavilion is located just past the gate

It is a natural continuation of the Muiderslot's garden beds

We are extending the sequence of gardens by essentially adding another one

Which allows for views of both the gardens and castle

We were inspired by the characteristic arches of the Muiderslot
