The 10th edition of the Rotterdam Architecture Biennale opens today. The theme of the biennale this year is “IT’S ABOUT TIME”. With this theme, the organization challenges architects and designer to find solutions for urgent, social-ecological issues which we can no longer ignore as a society.

As part of the exhibition, we created a model which shows the main material flows of Pristina, Kosovo. One of the issues Kosovo has to deal with is the scarceness of building materials. Together with the students of Cornell University, bureau SLA researched the available materials, where they come from and how they can be re-used multiple times.
